Mahmodul is a doctoral student in the Department of Ocean Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. His research focuses on mitigating harsh environmental degradation of coated surfaces through the development of high-entropy alloys and on leveraging machine learning–assisted combinatorial alloy design to optimize anticorrosive properties for the protection of offshore and subsea assets.
